Thankfulness

Posted By Greg Hankerson On 20th September 2007 @ 14:13 In Happiness, Enlightenment | 4 Comments

The “key” is not to be thankful in some things, but rather, to be thankful in all things. Receiving all things with thankfulness means you do not set conditions on experiences in order to be thankful. - T.T. Braun

This was a difficult thing for me to learn. And when I am not thankful of something, I ask myself, what is the lesson in what just happened? And it is always there if I look hard enough. And soon after I learn from the experience and am thankful, something new punches me in the face. Isn’t life awesome?

Greg, this is very true. Good to see you are back. Sorry I have not posted anything again, but I have been very busy. I am putting together a book of quotes and thoughts placed on images. I will send you a copy if you want one when it is done.
Thanks
Corey

Greg, how have you been? I don’t know why I did not notice who the quote for this posting was from before. It is Tom Braun. He lives in Cedar City. I know his family. Anyway I hope you read this. Can you shoot me an email with my user name etc. so I can start to write again? I am sorry that I dropped off the earth. I stopped to write (maybe compile is a better word) a book and am finished and found a publisher. Send me your email again and I will bring you up to speed.
Thanks,
Corey

What a small world! That is great that you finished your book! I too have been very busy with a new internet project —> [1] Retro. Actually I have a lot of projects brewing including finishing old ones I started. Can’t wait to hear how the book deal is going!

An advanced soul is one who automatically thinks pf others before themselves. It comes naturally to them, they are an advanced soul. It is one who never wallows in self-pity, introspection or occupies their time by cursing how wronged they have been by others. It is one who does not concern themselves with imaginary petty grievances & hardships done upon themselves, but strives to lessen the hardships and grievances done to others. It is one who doesn’t complain about others lack of understanding of themselves, but who endeavours to understand others. An advanced soul is never found in lofty position practising fulfilment of their own selfish goals, but is rather found in lowly positions helping others. If you make enough time for yourself to sit around contemplating how unfair your life has been, you are almost certainly not an advanced soul
