America, The Biggest Terrorist?
Posted By Greg Hankerson On 13th January 2007 @ 08:41 In Happiness, Enlightenment | 13 Comments
A couple days ago I got a flash of the news which said the US Embassy in Athens was attacked by terrorists. I tend to not watch the news here in America because it is 90% negative. But this got me thinking. I remembered on 9/11 how I felt and how I had a sticker on my truck for a while that read “Nuke Iraq”. And my answer was to nuke the Middle East to solve these terrorist problems that our country had. Once again, my answer would be to kill the terrorists had I not chosen a different path for my life. One of my biggest lessons which effected this, was how I was dealing with friends and family members during my so called path of enlightenment. I would learn some amazing thing about my life which would bring true fulfillment and then I would want to share this with the ones closest to me. But I learned, ever so slowly and painfully, that I cannot press my truths on others until they are ready and ASKING for it. I had pushed my ways on others and they promptly rejected them because they were in a totally different place in their lives. I was not ready for this information until the time was right, so why should others.
So how does this relate to terrorism? Well I used to say that terrorists were cowards and crazy. But looking back, our founding fathers were basically terrorists. They wanted a different life and were willing to GIVE THEIR LIVES for change. They fought the major power, England, and won. The people that hijacked those planes, trained for years knowing what the outcome would be. And they died to make a difference for their people. When was the last time that us Americans were willing to die for a cause. I don’t call this cowardice. I call this complete devotion. I was listening to a sermon by Michael Beckwith that he gave on September 12th which pointed out some very interesting thoughts. Many third world countries deal with turmoil and death on a daily basis. What happened to us on 9/11 is nothing new to them. Can you imagine that act to be normal because I can’t. Can you imagine the mindset of those living in those countries, or the ones killing because I can’t begin to. And many many countries think of America as the biggest terrorist. Did you know that? We control the world and the economy. And if your country is full of killing and death, well you go to the big boss for change right?
Anger is the first stage of the grieving process. And I believe America reacted in that stage and took vengence on the Middle East. I was so glued to the TV during 9/11 and must have watched the planes crash into the towers over 500 times. I was so angry along with the rest of the country. And so we began our invasion to weed out the bad. Years later, we are still there trying to change entire countries. These people have been battling each other for well over 2000 years. And we expect that we can go in there and change their ways and make peace? Are these people ready to change to our ways? I think no. I think we have a better chance of teaching cows to fly the space shuttle. Wait until they truly ASK for help as a whole, then maybe we have a chance.
Can you imagine the pain and inarticulation of those who orchestrated these so called terrorist acts?
“Just try to imagine the mindset of those living in South America, Ireland, the Middle East, Beirut, Africa, etc., who are living under the threat of war and bombs and assassination and all kinds of terrorist activity as way of life. We see it on television and we don’t think about it very much since it’s over there. And we go about our business as usual not seeking to change our life in anyway, shape or form, that would have any effect on the world’s suffering.” - Micheal Beckwith
We get angry when people kill Americans. So what do we do, we kill those who kill us. But I imagine that those killing us, think we are killing them. So they kill, and we kill back, then we kill, then they kill back if there are anymore left.
“Violence is the voice of the inarticulate.” - Micheal Beckwith
re·venge (rĭ-vĕnj’) pronunciation

1. The act of taking vengeance for injuries or wrongs; retaliation.

Well done, Greg. This is the kind of understanding of the world and of other people that is needed if the world is to change. But you wouldn’t have got here without the spiritual development work you have done. This is why we can only start to change the world if we change ourselves first. Then we can leave behind our preoccupation with the injustices of the past and trash the idea that these other groups of people are intrinsically different from ourselves and work together to build a viable future for the world. Which, after all, is a big enough challenge in itself!

I found your blog via Naked Soul. I agree with what you say here. No, we will never change the ways of those countries in the Mid East… nor should we try to. I hate that we are trying to impress our ideals upon them.
Also, it is written in the New Testament that the only place that Jesus was not accepted was in his home town of Nazareth. I find the same thing happened to me with my family while on the path of my own “enlightenment”. They knew me as the person that I was my whole life, then when I tried to, oh yeah!.. enlighten them, I was met with the same immediate rejection. “Who are you trying to kid?” Eventually, through my actions and apparently new disposition, they came to see that I had indeed changed, that I had something of value to say, that I had a level head. My dad even calls me for advice sometimes… I was truly shocked when I realized it after the second time, or so.
Anyway, it’s our actions that will win people over. We must live our own example of what we are preaching.

Peace and Greetings,
This is a powerful and beautiful article. I know the Honorable Dr. Michael Beckwith personally.
Not known to Dr. Beckwith is the fact that “he” has been one of my mentors that I have been acquainted with since 1987.
I am still growing and learning the powers of the mind, but my last name should tell you all that it is a middle eastern name. I am thoroughly acquainted with Islam and have been since I was old enough to read and make salat (prayer).
During my studies in Islam, I also studied outside of the box and came across “I Am Consciousness” in 1972.
I really took off in my studies with the popularity of “Earth, Wind & Fire” and I was a song writer who came to California in hopes of writing for Earth, Wind & Fire. I continued to grow spiritually out of the box of Islam and other organized religions. My favorite subjects of study are religions, politics and creating wealth through securities and exchange commission corporate structures, investment vehicles and teaching it this prosperity as it has never been taught before to others.
Today I am a federal lobbyist who uses the new thought principals to effect changes in the minds of politicians, government workers, small and medium sized businesses and the homeless.
I know the power of the “Creator” and I was transformed from organized hate, to agape love. But I am still growing and getting rid of old habits takes willingness.
In 1995 my mother was diagnosed with cancer, and in my own special way of praying, I asked the Creator to give my “Mom” more time beyond the doctors death sentence of one year to live. I vowed in my own special way as a money hungry ruthless stock broker that if “God” bet the doctors odds, I would study, and change my ways and turn my skills into a corporate umbrella to teach the power of “God” like never before and to fight for those who can’t yet help themselves.
“God gave my “Mother” until March 2, 2000 to live which is exactly one day after my birthday.
From 1995-till now, “God” went to work on me like chopping down a tree. Showing me proof of love in all living creatures, including birds, that began to sit by me as I continued my studies (yoga, science of mind, etc).
Eight year ago I became a lobbyist fighting government agencies for the right of small and medium sized businesses to become federal contractors. I also became lobbyist and a fighter for the homeless and thus our lobbying firm was built along with partners. Lobbyists Offices of G.R.W, Inc. The G.R.W stands for “God’s” Representatives in Washington.
And today I continue my commitment as the not willing to be paid a salary Executive Director of a “New Thought” Foundation called Grameedirsel, Foundation, Inc.
I know what learning the truth can do and I am not talking about it, but acting to change what I can change and I am a very effective influencer of people and I am using the powers of a new mind to help raise the dead and those locked up in the minds of hate, so that they may to live as the mighty “I Am” intended for us to live, and that is in “peace.”
I credit “God” first and foremost, secondly my late great “Mother” who taught me to always fight for what is right, thirdly “my “Guru” the late great Chuckie Mitchell from Ohio, fourth Earth, Wind & Fire whose music is still the best new thought or any kind of music ever created. Fifth, the Honorable Michael Beckwith who is so much of a force, that his fast speech at Agape (dating back to 1987)forced me to listen to tapes over and over again till I was able to comprehend what initially seemed to be like rocket science, but it was actually “God” speaking through his messenger to show me what was already with in me.
And finally to my fiancee, who is a practitioner. I thank this woman for the continued teachings of new thought, the putting up with me and loving me and being patient with me and now so proud of me and hard on me when necessary. She is my soul mate and I thank “God” and Dr. Beckwith for teaching her. I was not an easy guy to bring to the light.
So in closing to all of you who are coming to the light, in the light and working daily with the light, I challenge you to take the light into the darkness so that there will be light. Your ministry is the world and whatever you are passionate about. But know this, the homeless, the fatherless, the motherless, those locked up, those locked in hate, in drugs and alcohol are all waiting and grieving for the right messenger. So this article that I am commenting on is great, the author’s heart and mind came open to see outside of their own America and to be vicarious enough to see someone else’s world. America is also guilty on keeping all of us in the dark, from the knowledge of the power of the mind, pimping along with the churches to keep congregations in the dark. We say separation of church and stake, but you cannot get married without the state, you can’t even go to a preacher to get married with out a license from the state. And you cant get a divorce without the state. The church cannot be a 501c3 with out the state. So there is no separation of church and state. We have all been dumb down. America and clergy have done this unto us with theological lies, slavery, womanizing, building more prisons instead of rehabilitating the minds of the so called criminals.
America from its founding has a history that is more evil and wicked than 9/11 and I grieved hard on 9/11 for those live lost in America. I am more qualified to fight terrorism, with new thought, and I am, than most of you reading this article and who are practitioners.
I also grieved harder on the lives lost in slavery, during the freedom marches of the 1950s-60s and I grieved at the wickedness done my Jewish brothers and sisters, after watching for years numerous holocaust documentaries, behind sick Hitler’s ethnic cleansing.
I grieve when I go to Agape on Sundays over those who are only there to fulfill the fleshy desires, and not there for the message from the messenger. I grieve when I see and hear Blacks, Asians, Hispanics and White gangs killing over turf, drugs and color.
I have seen the beautiful power in all races and as a African American I learned my financial, professional and political savvyness from Jewish and Caucasian people who saw in me what I didn’t necessarily, at that time see in myself, awesome talents and the gift of influence and gab. We are one brother/sisterhood whether we like it or not.
Again l challenge all of you that are practitioners and those soon to be, to take the teaching of the mighty “I AM” into the areas mentioned above. Stop looking for just monetary prosperity as a practitioner, the creator will provide you with your prosperity through your passion. Prosperity is a balance and not all prosperity is dollars and cents. If “’God” hadn’t worked through great ones like those before the late great Ernest Holmes, those during Ernest Holmes time, and those after Earnest Holmes, we might not know of our innerself. All of these teachers gave and are still giving to us their passion for us to know the truth and “God” is prospering them. But they do it for the love of “God” and that you might see the light. For those messengers who teach the truth only for the money, you know the Universal law, what comes around goes around, and money is like a bird and it will sprout wings and fly away.
So is it in you, are you the one, are you willing to be the one to take the light to others in places that could be uncomfortable. Are you will to put your life on the line, to get the truth out. I do daily and I am not even a practitioner.
To whom much is given much is expected and what you know about your innerself is worth more than money could ever buy.
Peace,
A.W. K’habir

Wow, I just wanted to start by thanking you for reading my article and commenting on it in such a beautiful way. And thanks for the kind words about it. Beckwith truly inspired me at a seminar and I later found his CD which further inspired this article. Seeing and talking about deeper truths is controversial and difficult to say the least. But it feels good in my heart to speak my truth. And as long as I am pushing into areas that make me feel uncomfortable, I know I am growing and moving towards the light.
I feel America started from a good place, but capitalism, Christianity, society, etc., has cut out spirituality from regular life. But I see a revolution coming. Once life here hits rock bottom, those in the dark will seek the light for answers. Thanks again for the inspiring comment and living an inspired life. And if you ever feel inspired to write articles on my blog, let me know!

You told that America control the economy, yes, it even control terrorist activities, politics also. And you know how you people call yourself a big nation. Because you have got that money from robbing the countries of world. Just see guys what it is doing, just destroying countries to keep its monoply.
It destroyed Afghanistan and killed many innocents without any proof. It destroyed Iraq and now targeting Pakistan. How long was the event of Raymond Davis and drama about Usama death. What you guys are having is the money looted from other countries by killing people and destroying countries, interfering in other countries internal politics to steal its resources and keeping monoply and getting aid from Israel(not sure if Israel is part of it while other things are clearly visible).
But just think man, how will you justify about all this to your next generations? Do you want them to be vampire???
